"We would like to highly recommend Cheryl and 2 Cats in the Yard. When you travel you often must leave some family members behind, not to mention most of your material possessions. Cheryl did an excellent job caring for not only our 3 cats, Misty, Skagit and Buster during our absence, but also our entire home!
Her professionalism, experience, compassion, and “pet relation skills” were evident during our initial interview. Cheryl had our oldest, Misty, who is very wary of strangers, taking treats and pats from her by the end of the interview. Sadly, Cheryl’s own senior cat passed away during our vacation; but throughout her time of loss Cheryl continued to provide excellent care to our pets and home! When we returned from our trip, we found everything to be in order: our mail andd newspapers (collected daily) were on the kitchen counter, as well as a “visit log” documenting everything that Cheryl did or found.
Happily, the most eventful thing she found during our absence was that Skagit and Misty met her at the door once, instead of the usual Skagit and Buster. As documented in the log, Buster’s absence and Misty and Skagit’s display of agitation had Cheryl immediately searching for Buster. She found him stuck behind our tall 5 drawer chest in the master bedroom, which has a television on top of it! It sits across a wall corner, so there is enough room for a cat to jump down behind it, but not to jump back up. Cheryl was unable to move it by herself. She called a couple of friends to help move the chest and free Buster. 2 Cats in the Yard is now our 1st (and only) call whenever we need quality pet and home care."
